The incumbent will play a vital role in the forecasting and annual budgeting processes, gaining comprehensive insights into plant operations and driving performance enhancements.
Reporting directly to the Plant Controller, this position is ideal for an individual eager to advance their career, characterized by intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a preference for a dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate adaptability in a rapidly changing landscape, excel in cross-functional collaboration, and possess strong communication and analytical skills. A solid business acumen and the potential for upward mobility within the organization are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reporting and analysis for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Consolidate and summarize financial data to provide precise reporting for the local site.
- Assist the Plant Controller in generating financial reports, operational variance analyses, and month-end responsibilities.
- Actively participate in the forecasting process and variance analysis as a key member of the operations team.
- Support the preparation and analysis of the annual budget.
- Oversee the accounts payable team and cost accountant.
- Facilitate the annual product costing process.
- Help establish and uphold accounting policies and procedures.
- Continuously seek improvements in job functions, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive information.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, utilizing time efficiently and developing realistic action plans.
- Conduct detailed analyses to monitor key performance indicators.
- Proactively identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across the organization.
- Enhance standard reporting as needed.
- Recommend and develop policies and systems to achieve company objectives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities within financial contexts.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, JDE).
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to foster strong partnerships across various locations and functions.
- Leadership experience with a proven track record of successfully managing change.
- Capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong business analysis skills with a focus on results.
