Position Overview: Corporate Counsel

Company Overview:

Pop-Up Talent is a leading force in the evolution of the automotive sector, delivering cutting-edge software and cloud-based services that enhance the driving experience. We collaborate with prominent automotive manufacturers to create transformative digital solutions for connected vehicles.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Direct the Legal department
  • Engage with external legal consultants as required
  • Act as the board secretary and ensure regulatory compliance for subsidiaries
  • Provide legal guidance to executive leadership, including the CEO
  • Supervise financing and mergers & acquisitions
  • Advise on employment law matters in collaboration with HR
  • Oversee the management of the patent portfolio and related legal disputes
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to support the navigation sector
  • Serve as a strategic partner, offering insights throughout the contracting process
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks in transactions
  • Ensure adherence to international data privacy laws
  • Create and maintain standard agreements
  • Assist with special initiatives and legal research

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of legal practice focusing on OEM licensing, software contracts, and customer agreements
  • Proven expertise in corporate governance
  • Knowledge of privacy and data protection regulations
  • Juris Doctor degree with a strong academic record
  • Active membership in the California bar or equivalent
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, business acumen, and strategic analysis capabilities
  • Experience in a top-tier law firm and in-house licensing or product attorney roles
  • Familiarity with the Insurtech sector
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse business units and service departments

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $251,000 - $300,000, influenced by experience, location, and industry benchmarks.
