Product Engineer Job Description

At Jobot, we're seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you'll be responsible for managing projects and developing products from ideation to commercialization and post-launch support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects and develop products from concept to launch, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Software Development, Operations, Technology Services, and Manufacturing teams to execute project goals and objectives.
  • Create detailed project plans and estimates, determining tasks, budget, labor, materials, and time required to complete projects.
  • Direct project team members and support personnel, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Contribute to project risk management and create design inputs from user needs and marketing requirements.
  • Maintain test equipment and teach others on test methodologies.
  • Lead the effort to transition projects to support and commercialization teams during the Product Launch phase.
  • Compile and maintain a design history file, ensuring it's organized, thorough, and up-to-date throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create intellectual property, draft claims, and prepare patent applications in conjunction with attorneys.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing products in the healthcare, IoT, medical devices, or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Proficiency in 2D, SolidWorks, and other equivalent technologies.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record of leading product development projects from concept to launch.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to make sound judgments based on data.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a passion for creating high-quality, innovative products.
