Job Title: Senior Production Supervisor

MITER Brands is seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Supervisor to oversee the production process and ensure that all products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Direct team members to achieve safety, quality, and production goals set by senior management.
  • Produce the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost consistent with best manufacturing practices.
  • Recognize and resolve operating problems to minimize their impact on operations.
  • Cooperate with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship.
  • Manage inventory usage and department costs.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Meet customer load dates by ensuring all scheduled products are made on-time, accurate, and 100% complete.
  • Encourage team member suggestions for improving safety, quality, productivity, and plant environment.
  • Implement team member suggestions to improve MIWD.
  • Communicate effectively with the Production Manager/Asst. Plant Manager on operating and employee problems.
  • Maintain consistent communications and daily department meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain production records.
  • Keep records of departmental activities.
  • Ensure efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices.
  • Establish accountabilities and goals for performance evaluation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years manufacturing supervisory experience, or 4-year degree in a relevant field plus 3 years manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing leadership role with previous multi-line responsibilities preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and enforce regulations and policies in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, bilingual preferred (Spanish).
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments and customers.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Ability to train and motivate department personnel.
  • Ability to work flexible hours depending on department needs.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel if needed.
