Job Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for:

  • Diagnosing communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Developing and implementing therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to set outcome goals and skilled interventions.
  • Utilizing agency and community resources to promote patient and family independence in care.
Job Requirements
  • Mandatory: Speech-Language Pathology license issued by LBESPA / ASHA Certification.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience is required, with a preference for pediatric experience.
  • Experience in acute and inpatient rehabilitation settings is essential.
  • Experience with patients aged 0 - 21 years is preferred.
Additional Information

Compliance with LCMC Health Systems may require documentation such as I9, Driver's License/State ID, E-Verify, and other certifications.
