Salary Range:
$120,000 to $170,000 USD

Key Responsibilities:


The Senior Sales Manager for the Retail Market is responsible for driving growth and increasing market share within the retail automotive aftermarket sector.

This role focuses on developing and executing a sales strategy that addresses both retail channels and emerging trends in the automotive aftermarket industry.

A comprehensive understanding of automotive parts and customer requirements within the aftermarket segment is essential to enhance sales and profitability.


Strategic Sales Leadership:
Formulate and implement a robust sales strategy that responds to the changing landscape of the automotive aftermarket.

Engage with senior stakeholders in key accounts to build strategic partnerships and broaden our market presence.

Evaluate sales trends and market dynamics to set ambitious yet attainable sales targets.

Lead the development of new retail programs and initiatives tailored to the specific needs of the aftermarket sector.


Guide the team in understanding the competitive landscape, including benchmarking and trend analysis, to inform product development and marketing strategies.


Customer Relationship Management:
Establish and nurture executive relationships with major accounts, ensuring a thorough understanding of their business models and strategic objectives.


Direct account management efforts to align with the unique dynamics of the automotive aftermarket, including parts retailers, distributors, and independent garages.

Oversee negotiation strategies to secure long-term agreements that benefit both client profitability and our company's sales goals.

Implement advanced CRM strategies to streamline customer interactions and enhance satisfaction.

Team and Organizational Leadership:


Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the sales team, emphasizing industry-specific knowledge and customer service excellence.

Mentor and develop the sales team, aligning their skills and career progression with the organization's strategic direction.

Encourage a collaborative environment that leverages cross-functional expertise, particularly in product development and marketing.

Market Development and Analysis:


Drive the expansion of the Dealer Locator program to optimize market coverage and ensure accessibility to our products in retail markets.

Lead market research initiatives to identify new growth opportunities within the aftermarket sector.

Develop targeted account strategies, focusing on high-potential clients in retail aftermarket channels.

Financial and Budget Management:
Oversee the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation towards activities that drive growth in the retail aftermarket segments.

Monitor and control expenditures, seeking efficiencies and maximizing ROI for sales-related activities.

Marketing and Brand Strategy:
Collaborate with marketing to design campaigns and promotional materials that resonate with the aftermarket customer base.

Strategically allocate marketing resources to enhance brand visibility and product awareness in the aftermarket sector.

Systems and Policy Management:


Lead the adoption of best practices in sales processes and systems, ensuring they cater to the nuances of the aftermarket industry.

Review and update sales policies to reflect the evolving landscape of the automotive aftermarket.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field, with substantial experience in the automotive aftermarket.

Proven leadership experience with a focus on sales growth within the retail automotive aftermarket.

Strong understanding of distribution networks and customer bases in the aftermarket parts industry.

Proficient in CRM systems with a particular emphasis on enhancing customer engagement.

Willingness to travel extensively and participate in aftermarket trade shows and events.

In-depth knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, including compliance with ARB and EPA regulations.
