Overview:
The Rental Account Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving the Rental Sales and Marketing initiatives at the Business Unit level. This role primarily focuses on enhancing the commercial rental and trailer services product lines.
The objective is to expand Ryder's rental sales footprint within the Business Unit, fostering the acquisition of profitable new accounts while ensuring the retention of existing clientele.
The ultimate goal is to achieve significant rental revenue growth, enhance profitability, and improve Return on Assets.Additionally, the role will contribute to lease conversion targets, acting as a catalyst for increased lease sales productivity and performance within the Lease Sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development:
Generate leads through proactive outreach, including cold calling, telephone solicitation, and customer visits. Utilize product expertise to evaluate customer requirements and formulate tailored proposals. Collaborate with rental operations to guarantee equipment availability.
The Rental Account Sales Manager is also tasked with branch-level marketing and ensuring that rental sales representatives are proficient in telemarketing to both prospective and existing customers.
Customer Relationship Management:
Maintain regular contact with customers through multiple visits and phone communications.
Ensure exceptional service delivery by effectively addressing customer complaints and remaining attuned to customer needs and long-term rental agreements.
Administrative Duties:
Engage in proposal and contract formulation, manage customer records, prepare follow-up correspondence, and coordinate with other departments within the Business Unit. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of customer data in the relevant systems. Handle administration tasks such as credit approvals, receivables collections, and maintenance of scheduling updates.

- Preferred: Three years of sales experience and one year of industry experience

Compensation Information:
The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, education, work location, market data, and internal equity considerations.
Pay Structure:
Salaried
Minimum Pay Range: 50,000
Maximum Pay Range: 54,000
This position may also qualify for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on performance metrics.
