About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our efforts in structuring, placement, and product development in the reinsurance industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving new business production and product development, while ensuring the retention of existing client accounts and driving the performance of our local team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate as the primary support and lead for assigned accounts, providing expert guidance and strategic direction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects, conducting research on industry topics and developing content to be shared with key stakeholders.
  • Act as the North American representative for global clients, coordinating information-sharing and promoting consistency across client roadmaps and strategy.
  • Lead the development, negotiation, and placement of reinsurance treaties using markets from the US, London, Bermuda, and around the world.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including analytics, contracts, and client services, to provide solutions to clients.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with senior executives of client companies to present materials and drive business growth.
  • Align with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Commit to the development of early and mid-career talent within the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 10 or more years of work experience within a reinsurance brokerage or underwriting environment.
  • Adept at giving presentations to C-Suite executives.
Desired Skills
  • Strengths in practical problem-solving and the ability to innovate in a multi-disciplined, collaborative culture.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Power BI, or other analytics tools.
  • Proven command of mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • ARe designation preferred.
