Senior Vice President of Reinsurance

We are seeking an experienced Marine Reinsurance Broker to join our team at Gallagher Re, a leading reinsurance advisory and broking firm. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and counsel to our clients, helping them navigate the complex world of reinsurance.
With a strong background in reinsurance and specialty brokerage or underwriting, you will be able to identify client needs and present opportunities successfully to customers. You will also be responsible for counseling clients on insurance structures to mitigate downside risk and improve capital efficiency.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and enhance relationships with senior executives of client companies, ensuring adequate planning and resourcing of the production function, and driving and delivering achievement against the P&L.
About YouWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 10 years of progressive insurance, MGA, underwriting and/or reinsurance experience. You will have strong operational knowledge of re/insurance related business in the Marine specialty, as well as knowledge of general re/insurance products, services, and classes of re/insurance.
You will also have good analytical and numerate skills, significant people development and management or influencing experience, and the ability to build rapport, establish credibility, and engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
