Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Community Director for our active adult community, Affinity at Billings. In this role, you will assist the Community Director in managing the overall operations of the community. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support for financial documentation and maintaining resident files, while also assisting with leasing, marketing, and resident engagement.

  • Foster a community atmosphere that enhances residents' quality of life through exceptional customer service and a supportive living environment.
  • Oversee property operations in the absence of the Community Director.
  • Support the Community Director with property management tasks, including preparing weekly updates, move-out documentation, and month-end summaries.
  • Handle daily financial transactions, including rent collection and posting of payments.
  • Review resident files and financial records to identify any outstanding or overdue fees.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, including leasing documents, liability insurance, and resident activities.
  • Assist the sales team by welcoming prospective residents, gathering lead information, showcasing apartment homes, and securing lease deposits.
  • Support the leasing and renewal processes by ensuring accurate applications and organized records.
  • Conduct credit and background checks as part of the application process.
  • Ensure all applications are fully approved prior to resident move-in.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to stay informed about current initiatives.
  • Research local market conditions and competition.
  • Conduct move-in orientations for new residents.
  • Engage in resident-led events and activities.
  • Regularly assess the condition of the grounds, buildings, and model apartments, reporting any maintenance needs to the Community Director.
  • Assist residents in reporting maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Fair Housing Laws.

Qualifications:

We seek a professional, relationship-oriented Assistant Community Director who can effectively collaborate with the site team to manage daily community operations while building strong relationships with residents.

  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and determined.
  • Previous experience in multifamily property management is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficiency in English is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Google Suite, property management software (e.g., Yardi, On-Site), and CRM tools.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and insured, operational vehicle.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage, ranging from $20 to $23 based on experience.
