Job Summary

The Manager of Shore Excursions Private Sales is a key strategic role responsible for creating and developing a global portfolio of high-end, private experiences tailored to guests' preferences.

This position involves close interaction with guests to understand their travel desires and works closely with third-party vendors, partners, and sales teams to curate unique, luxury private tours.

By engaging directly with guests and collaborating with sales to promote bespoke offerings, the role emphasizes exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and revenue growth through personalized, unforgettable travel experiences.

Essential Functions
  1. Handle sales calls and inquiries for both Pre-Designed and Custom Private Excursions by engaging directly with potential clients, answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing detailed information about available offerings.
  2. Spearhead the design of personalized, high-end private tours that align with guest preferences, ensuring the delivery of extraordinary travel experiences.
  3. Share sales insights with the Product Development team to craft tailored travel experiences that surpass guest expectations.
  4. Handle follow-up discussions to refine itineraries and address guest questions or special requests.
  5. Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop strategies that promote both Pre-Designed and Custom Private Excursions to high-end clients.
  6. Track and analyze sales performance for both Pre-Designed and Custom Private Excursions, identifying trends and opportunities for revenue growth.
  7. Assist in developing forecasts and goals for sales.
  8. Identify and establish partnerships with third-party vendors to efficiently manage the growing volume of both Pre-Designed and Custom Private Excursion requests while maintaining top-tier service quality.
  9. Negotiate costs with tour partners to ensure equitable pricing for guests, balancing premium experiences with fair value while maintaining profitable margins.
  10. Manage and mentor the Sales Support Agent, ensuring all guest inquiries-whether for Pre-Designed or Custom Private Excursions-are handled promptly, accurately, and with exceptional service.
  11. Work alongside the Marriott MILUX Team to identify top-performing and reliable tour operators globally, ensuring consistent, high-quality experiences.
  12. Oversee the private excursions program pre-, during, and post-voyage, addressing any quality concerns, incidents, or escalated complaints swiftly and effectively.
  13. Collaborate with IT Shoreside Applications and Digital Marketing to promote Pre-Designed and Custom Private Excursions through the MyYacht Portal.
