Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Sales Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting our Private Label brands for grocery retailers, driving key initiatives, and building strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage specific grocery private label accounts across all categories serviced, working closely with customers to understand their needs and goals.
  • Develop and maintain by-SKU forecasts for revenue and by-item velocity, monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional team to execute initiatives, leveraging expertise in SunOpta R&D, supply chain, and operational capabilities and constraints.
  • Work closely with marketing to maintain and optimize existing business and identify areas for future growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with various customer contacts, offering category management support and guidance on price, shelf positioning, sales trends, and other key areas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a role working with CPG retailers in sales, analytics, marketing, and supply chain, with experience with Target, Aldi, and Trader Joe's preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint, with a goal-oriented and KPI-driven attitude and approach.
Additional Considerations

This role requires up to 30% travel, with the position based at our HQ in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Relocation or international remote working arrangements will not be considered.
