Job Summary

PennState Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues to identify bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms.
  • Analyze chemical content of fluids and cross-match blood for transfusion and organ transplantation.
  • Prepare cells for use in cellular therapies and provide critical results for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory science.
  • Eligibility for ASCP, AMT, or equivalent board certification exam and certification within 18 months of hire.
