Laboratory Technical Specialist

Position Overview:
The role of a Laboratory Technical Specialist is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of clinical services. This position is part-time and requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Work Schedule:
Part-Time, Day Shift, with hours from Monday to Friday; 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, including rotating weekends from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and manage patient registrations within the hospital's registration system.
- Accession laboratory physician orders into the laboratory information system.
- Ensure proper handling and processing of patient specimens.
- Verify patient identification details and insurance information for accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations governing laboratory and hospital operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma is required, along with additional training or equivalent knowledge. Candidates with training from outside the United States must provide documentation to verify the equivalency of their education and training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a related field for at least six months is preferred.
