Job Summary

The Territory Sales Representative is a key role within Casella Waste Systems, responsible for driving sales growth and customer satisfaction within a defined territory. This position requires a strong understanding of customer needs, as well as the ability to develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales plans to drive customer acquisitions and achieve revenue and profit goals.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to stay up-to-date on Casella products and services, and to identify new selling opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to increase services to existing customers, and develop a comprehensive account retention program.
  • Recognize and resolve customer problems, and develop quality cross-selling solutions with key team members.
  • Maintain strong relationships with drivers, operations, customers, and customer service representatives to ensure safe and efficient service procedures.
  • Utilize company pricing and profitability models to prepare and submit administrative paperwork for customer set up and account changes.
  • Manage and track sales performance using Microsoft Dynamics 365, and communicate monthly goals and accomplishments to local management.
  • Develop and implement tasks and activities that support personal and company goals, and communicate actual results to goals on a monthly basis with local management.
  • Attend divisional and regional sales meetings to stay informed and network with colleagues.
  • Participate in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience, with a strong background in environmental or sustainability fields.
  • Relevant sales certifications and ability to work in the US.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel 80% of the time within a defined territory.
  • Strong interpersonal, strategic selling, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in collaborative environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
