Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Transit Architecture Practice Leader to join our Architecture and Urbanism division. This role is pivotal in driving the growth and strategic direction of our Transit Architecture practice, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a talented team of architects and designers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional development. The role includes:
  • Overseeing the Transit Architecture Practice in the United States.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and enhance satisfaction, ultimately driving organic growth.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a diverse team by setting clear objectives and evaluating performance to ensure the team is equipped to meet project goals.
  • Coaching studio and service managers to ensure project success and adherence to governance standards, aiming for improved client satisfaction.
  • Identifying and nurturing talent within the practice group, directing individuals towards appropriate development opportunities.
  • Managing resource allocation within the practice group to optimize efficiency and maintain structural integrity.
  • Ensuring accountability for performance metrics such as utilization and service quality within the practice group.
  • Staying informed about market trends and client needs to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborating across IBI Group to enhance cross-selling opportunities.
  • Developing and communicating the business plan to ensure team alignment and understanding of their roles in achieving objectives.
  • Targeting clients through exceptional service delivery to foster growth in the practice group.
  • Encouraging strong team dynamics and relationships.
  • Commitment to in-person collaboration at IBI Group offices at least three days a week.
The compensation for this position ranges from $145,000 to $217,000, with actual salaries determined by various factors including experience and location.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registered Architect (AIA) certification.
  • Award-winning architectural experience.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience, including over 10 years in Transit Architecture.
  • Proven track record in leading complex business transformations.
  • Experience managing high-level business relationships.
  • Ability to lead teams across different regions.
  • Significant experience with large-scale and complex projects.
