Financial Account Specialist

As a Collections Specialist at Environmental Remedies Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely collection of payments from clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing asbestos abatement firm that serves San Diego County, Riverside County, and the San Francisco Bay areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and issue invoices and completion letters to clients in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of client accounts, including payment history and outstanding balances.
  • Identify and pursue overdue accounts, using effective communication and negotiation skills to secure timely payments.
  • Analyze credit bureau data and other relevant information to locate clients who have moved or changed phone numbers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates and reduce delinquencies.
  • Collaborate with project managers and logistics personnel to ensure smooth invoicing and collection processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of collections experience.
  • Availability to work 40-45 hours per week.
  • QuickBooks experience preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships and communicate verbally and in writing in a professional, courteous manner with clients, team members, and other business contacts.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, scanners, phones, and computers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in writing and have excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and be highly organized and accurate, and use good judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality, and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Must possess a friendly, polite, and professional demeanor at all times.

Estimated Salary Range:$24-$30 per hour
