Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform diagnostic procedures, using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served, including routine, emergent, biopsy, and/or special procedure examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate all necessary information to other members of the healthcare team and provide service-oriented communication with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance functions, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain general order and cleanliness of the assigned room.
  • Administrative Tasks: File work, reception, and computer tasks, including PACs functions, and administer contrast media as directed, in accordance with all policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience as a CT Technologist within the past 2 years or minimum six (6) months experience in an acute hospital setting within the last year.
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Certifications: Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required at hire OR Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography required at hire, and Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior Experience: Prior CT work experience using helical and/or multi-detector technology.
  • Education: Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Science or related field.
