Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist Trainee at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing diagnostic imaging services to patients. This position requires a strong foundation in radiologic technology, with a focus on computed tomography (CT) procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic CT procedures, utilizing knowledge and skills to ensure high-quality images and patient care.
- Administer contrast media as directed, adhering to department policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Assist with patient transport and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RRT) certification and state licensure.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hire.
- Minimum 2-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous CT experience, preferably with helical and/or multi-detector technology.
- Attendance at CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses.
Notes:
This is a float position with variable days and hours to provide coverage to SMC.
