Vascular Ultrasound Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Ultrasound Specialist to deliver comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound services within a healthcare environment. This role involves assessing cerebrovascular, arterial, and venous structures while ensuring adherence to our organizational values and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting diagnostic vascular examinations, utilizing the necessary expertise for various patient demographics, including routine, urgent, and surgical assessments in line with established protocols.
- Engaging in effective communication with vascular surgeons and radiologists to ensure optimal patient care.
- Assisting with patient transport and management needs as required.
- Reviewing examinations, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and performing quality assurance tasks.
- Executing additional responsibilities as assigned.
Experience:
- N/A
- Completion of a minimum two-year JRCERT accredited program, including ARRT certification, state licensure, and a year of ultrasound training, OR two years of allied health experience with a completed ARDMS program, OR a CAAHEP accredited ultrasound program with ARDMS registration.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Temporary Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) or Sonography Technologist License (Oregon).
- Registered Vascular Technician Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.
- Proficient understanding of ultrasound physics and its application in evaluating blood flow and imaging vascular structures.
- Knowledge of the operation and signals from commonly used vascular diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with the anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics of vascular systems.
- Awareness of common disease processes affecting vascular systems and their risk factors.
- Understanding of the implications of vascular trauma and the role of non-invasive testing in identifying abnormalities.
- At least one year of recent experience in a vascular laboratory setting.
- Comprehension of vascular lab services, workflows, and interventional protocols.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and perform examinations with confidence.
- This is an on-call position with variable hours.
