Position Overview:

As a Retail Store Leader, you are prepared to set the standard, go all in, and inspire your team to excel in connecting customers with their needs. You will oversee all operations of a T-Mobile retail location. A solid understanding of retail management is essential, including hiring, scheduling, training, marketing, asset protection, and team leadership. You will serve as the primary contact for all retail store employees.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct observations of team members' interactions with customers, providing constructive feedback for development, training, and coaching to ensure timely completion of assigned training sessions.
  • Assist in resolving customer-related issues to enhance the overall customer experience with the T-Mobile brand.
  • Take ownership of store performance, addressing the work-related needs of employees, managing leadership, staffing, scheduling, labor controls, marketing, loss prevention, and all other store operations.
  • Promote operational excellence by monitoring all store functions, overseeing sales and inventory, managing sales tracking, and implementing new store initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment at all times.
  • Recruit passionate team members who are dedicated to building lasting customer relationships and are enthusiastic about the T-Mobile brand and digital technology.
  • Support your team through ongoing development, training, and mentoring, fostering behaviors that will help earn a place in our customers' hearts and contribute to employee success.
  • Lead by example, staying informed about the latest products, services, training, and leadership best practices to be a knowledgeable resource for your team.
  • Encourage team initiatives and cultivate an inclusive workplace.
  • Accountable for the overall productivity of the store. Drive operational efficiencies to minimize risks and safeguard store assets. Deliver financial results based on key performance indicators and identify strategies to manage and control store expenses.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to your team's success through personalized performance management plans and recognition of achievements.
  • Ensure store employees meet or exceed established monthly performance metrics.
  • Achieve or surpass sales targets for the store.
  • Consistently uphold all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Open availability with no scheduling restrictions.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to work the demands of the business, which may include 44 hours or more per week.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of management experience in retail sales.
  • 1-3 years of sales and sales management experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Store management expertise.
  • Knowledge of store operations.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

While performing the duties of this position, the Retail Store Leader is regularly required to stand, lean, use hands and fingers to handle objects, talk, and hear. This role may involve working in a retail environment. Must be able to work a standard 40-hour work week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods is necessary. Must have the ability to use both hands for fine and gross manipulation of small tools, such as computers and telephones. Vision must be sufficient to read handwritten and typed materials.
