About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Unit Operations Coordinator to join our team in Los Alamitos, CA. As a key member of the Department of Defense, you will be responsible for coordinating unit operations, providing administrative support, and ensuring seamless execution of tasks.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in administration, with experience working in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to prepare various written products, including correspondence and reports, and process personnel and payroll records.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $57,007 and $74,110 per year, depending on experience. The selected candidate will also be eligible for benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate unit operations, including planning, organization, and execution of tasks.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, compilation, and analysis.
  • Process personnel and payroll actions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Interpret and apply regulations, policies, and practices applicable to unit operations.
  • Coordinate use of USAR centers and arrange for facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Advise new members on the USAR program, obligations, advantages, and unit vacancies.
  • Maintain liaison with higher headquarters, ensuring compliance with directives.
  • Monitor unit mobilization readiness and provide technical advice to unit commanders and staff.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of specialized experience in administrative and operational services, preferably in a military setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
