Position Title:
Accounts Receivable Representative I

Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Accounts Receivable team, you will manage denied claims and liaise with insurance providers regarding outstanding payments. Your primary objective will be to ensure the collection of funds owed for services rendered.

Essential Duties:
1. Review and process communications from patients and insurance entities.
2. Conduct follow-ups on primary, secondary, and tertiary claims.
3. Manage denial cases, including solutions for payer denials.
4. Submit appeals to insurance carriers for issues such as medical necessity and bundling.
5. Oversee credit balance management, including the resolution of payment application discrepancies.
6. Maintain and review unbilled charge reports, denial reports, and claim allocation documentation.
7. Document adjustments and updates to patient accounts.
8. Perform additional related tasks as necessary.

Supervision:
This position reports directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager.

Qualifications:
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in computer applications and relevant software (Microsoft Office and Excel).
Familiarity with medical coding is advantageous.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; some college education is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience in medical billing processes, including registration, charge entry, and claims preparation.
