Bilingual Allergy Medical Assistant

Florida ENT and Allergy, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to enhance our team. We are committed to creating an environment where every voice is valued, and our primary goal is to make a positive impact on both our patients and colleagues.
We are currently looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Certified Medical Assistant to fill the role of Allergy Technician in a full-time capacity. Our practice specializes in providing comprehensive ENT medical and surgical care, ensuring that patient care remains our utmost priority. Our patients appreciate the convenience of receiving both diagnostic and rehabilitative services within a single medical group.
Role of the Allergy Technician:
This position presents an excellent opportunity for an LPN, RN, or Certified Medical Assistant who is adept at multitasking, self-motivated, and capable of managing a high volume of patients. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn about various aspects of the Allergy, ENT, and Audiology fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with patients for durations of 20-60 minutes
- Adhering to established allergy protocols
- Providing education to patients regarding allergy testing and treatment options
- Responding to patient inquiries
- Collecting patient medical histories
- Administering injections
- Conducting allergy skin tests
- Securing necessary authorizations
- Preparing examination rooms
- Implementing sterilization techniques in compliance with CDC and other relevant guidelines
Qualifications for the Allergy Technician:
- Licensure/Certification: Active LPN, RN, or Certified Medical Assistant
- At least two years of hands-on clinical experience
- Willingness to travel between various locations as required
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities
- Effective organizational skills
- Professional demeanor towards patients, physicians, and team members
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous
- Experience in allergy care is a plus

Physical Requirements:
The role requires coordination, manual dexterity, and physical agility to effectively utilize various medical and office equipment. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. The incumbent must be capable of assisting patients in transferring from wheelchairs to examination chairs when necessary and may need to travel between offices for support. Additionally, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds is required.
