Oracle Database Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Engineer to join our team at USCS. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Oracle Database infrastructure in the Oracle Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement scalable and fault-tolerant Oracle Database systems
- Collaborate with our infrastructure, DevOps, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate installation, configuration, and patching of Oracle Databases
- Monitor and troubleshoot Oracle Database performance issues
- Implement solutions to Oracle's Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) standards
- Work with developers to design and test Oracle DB-dependent system components
- 5+ years of experience working in IT as an Oracle DBA
- Strong experience with PL/SQL language, including designing performant queries
- Strong experience diagnosing application bottlenecks caused by Oracle DB I/O
- Oracle Database RAC installation/support experience
- Strong knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and other scripting languages
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, and Ansible automation
- Working experience with containers and cloud operating environments – Oracle OCI is a plus
