Job Description

Talon Analytics is a leading provider of innovative staffing and engineering solutions to government and commercial clients. We are seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement systems principles and concepts to master and tame the complexity of modern warfighting systems development.
  • Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards and military specifications.
  • Function in a Model-Based Systems Engineering database to improve manufacturing processes and integrate optimum procedures.
  • Collaborate with customers and project leadership to report on safety program status and prepare reports.
  • Develop and maintain System Safety processes and methodologies, and serve as an ambassador of the discipline within the company.
  • Conduct requirements analysis, interface analysis, and operations analysis, as well as system safety test and verification.
  • Create prediction models and mathematical analyses supporting product reliability, maintainability, and availability.
  • Provide presentations and briefings to customers and company senior management.
  • Read and understand engineering reports, drawings, and electrical wiring diagrams/schematics.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of work experience as a Systems Safety engineer or related role.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical issues and status in both written and oral form to internal and external customers.
  • Adaptability to change, determination to accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaboration with the team to make the best decisions, and a positive work environment.
