Position Summary
We are looking for detail-oriented and customer-centric Claims Resolution Specialists. The successful candidate will engage with clients via phone, providing education and guidance to navigate their claims towards optimal resolutions. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of claims, prioritizing urgent cases, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to all parties involved in the claims process. The claims managed will primarily involve transportation-related incidents.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering prompt, courteous, and high-quality service to policyholders and claimants through various communication channels.
  • Collecting essential information from clients to initiate claims and explaining policy details, coverage, and the claims process.
  • Managing a claims inventory, establishing initial reserves for potential exposures, and adjusting as necessary throughout the claim lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with the APD team on property damage claims.
  • Identifying recovery opportunities related to subrogation and salvage, as well as total loss scenarios.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant state regulations, policy provisions, and operational procedures.
  • Negotiating settlements with claimants, insured parties, and legal representatives within authorized limits.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of claims guidelines, best practices, and process enhancements.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of claims and guiding external service providers to facilitate swift and appropriate resolutions.
  • Engaging in continuous learning to stay updated on claims statutes, recent court decisions, and internal policy changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; however, candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • A minimum of 3 years of focused experience in transportation claims adjusting, ideally encompassing:
    • Third-party property damage
    • Third-party bodily injury, including catastrophic cases
    • UM/UIM bodily injury
    • Litigation experience
    • PIP knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Possession of active adjuster licenses and willingness to obtain any additional licenses within a specified timeframe.
  • Familiarity with state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Willingness to travel as required for client and claims needs.
