Position Summary
We are looking for detail-oriented and customer-centric Claims Resolution Specialists. The ideal candidate will engage with clients over the phone, guiding them through their claims to achieve optimal outcomes. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of claims, prioritizing urgent cases, and ensuring exceptional service for all parties involved. The claims handled will primarily involve transportation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver prompt and professional customer service to policyholders and claimants via calls, texts, and emails.
  • Collect essential information to initiate claims and provide clarity on policy coverage and the claims process.
  • Oversee a portfolio of claims, establishing initial reserves and adjusting as necessary throughout the claims lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the property damage team to address related claims effectively.
  • Identify recovery opportunities concerning subrogation and salvage, as well as total loss situations.
  • Ensure adherence to state regulations, policy provisions, and operational procedures.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, insured parties, and legal representatives within authorized limits.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of claims guidelines and best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of claims to ensure effective collaboration with external service providers.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on claims statutes and internal guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation claims adjusting, particularly in:
    • Third-party property damage
    • Third-party bodily injury, including severe cases
    • Uninsured/Underinsured motorist bodily injury
    • Litigation experience
    • Personal Injury Protection (PIP) experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Possession of active adjuster licenses and willingness to obtain additional licenses as required.
  • Familiarity with state regulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for claims-related activities.
