Role Overview:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will engage in various responsibilities related to the processing of prescription orders. Your duties may include:
  • Dispensing a range of pharmaceuticals, including specialty medications, injectables, and related supplies, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Compounding medications in a sterile environment, utilizing appropriate components and supplies.
  • Processing, packing, and shipping outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring that all necessary drugs and educational materials are included.
  • Managing drug and supply inventory, ensuring proper storage and refrigeration of perishable products.
  • Monitoring and calibrating pharmacy equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Interacting with patients to verify data, resolve claims issues, and coordinate medication delivery.
  • Interpreting provider prescriptions and managing prescription orders within the computer system.

Schedule:
Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license in the relevant state.
  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience.
  • Ability to work standard business hours with flexibility for occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a warehouse or supply chain environment.
  • National PTCB certification.
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy operations.
