This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy maintaining and repairing vehicles. You will be tasked with diagnosing issues and implementing solutions to ensure optimal reliability and performance. An exceptional automotive technician possesses excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. They are knowledgeable about intricate mechanical and electronic systems of vehicles and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. Effective communication is essential to provide customers with informed advice.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to accurately diagnose issues using the MPVI process.

- Evaluate vehicle computer and electronic systems for repairs, maintenance, and upgrades.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks (such as fluid replacements and part lubrication) to enhance vehicle functionality and longevity.

- Schedule future maintenance appointments and advise vehicle owners on optimal usage practices.

- Repair or replace faulty or malfunctioning components and address issues (e.g., leaks).

- Provide precise estimates (cost, time, effort) for repair or maintenance tasks.

- Maintain logs of work performed and issues encountered.

- Ensure tools and equipment are kept in excellent condition.

Required Skills

- Proven experience as an automotive technician.

- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components.

- Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic systems and methodologies.

- Proficient in handling various tools (e.g., pliers) and heavy machinery (e.g., lifts).

- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols to protect against accidents and hazardous materials.

- Excellent physical fitness.

- High school diploma preferred; vocational school certification or apprenticeship completion is advantageous.

- Valid certifications (e.g., ASE) are a significant plus.
