As a Human Resources Specialist with the Army National Guard, you will play a vital role in supporting the careers of our Soldiers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and maintaining personnel records
  • Data entry and retrieval
  • Preparing and monitoring Soldier requests for ID cards and tags, leaves of absence, and passes
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies
  • Maintaining emergency notification data

You will also have the opportunity to develop valuable skills in payroll, timekeeping, and human resources, making you a valuable asset to any organization.

In the Army National Guard, you will learn these skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance.

Job training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 9 weeks of Advanced Individual Training and on-the-job instruction.

Benefits include paid training, the Montgomery GI Bill, and retirement benefits for part-time service.

Requirements include being at least a junior in high school, or having a high school diploma or a GED certificate, and passing a physical exam and meeting legal and moral standards.
