Summary:

US Farathane is seeking a Human Resource Assistant. Human Resource Assistant will be responsible for supporting plant operations by assisting in the administration of safety human resource procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant hourly positions and coordinate onboarding process for all new employees.
  • Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees.
  • Assist with payroll functions including hourly timecard review, processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Prepare new employee files.
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provide clerical support to the HR department.
  • Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, plant meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.

  • Assist HR Department with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR Manager.
  • Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities- In the event that this position becomes vacant, the Human Resource Manager will resume responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years' experience in an administrative role and/or an Associate's degree.
  • 1-2 years' experience with Microsoft office.
  • HR experience preferred in manufacturing or plant environment.
