Job Summary:

U.S. Farathane is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resource Assistant to support the administration of safety and human resource procedures in our plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, interview, and select employees to fill vacant hourly positions and coordinate the onboarding process for all new employees.
  • Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
  • Assist with payroll functions, including hourly timecard review, processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare new employee files and ensure all necessary documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provide excellent customer service to applicants and employees, answering frequently asked questions relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, and more.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provide clerical support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Manager.
  • Assist with planning and execution of special events, such as benefits enrollment, plant meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Assist the HR Department with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • Assist with recruitment and interview process, ensuring a fair and unbiased selection process.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years' experience in an administrative role and/or an Associate's degree.
  • 1-2 years' experience with Microsoft Office.
  • HR experience preferred in a manufacturing or plant environment.
