Position Summary:
We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our expanding Ortho Life Orthopedic platform. We are currently in search of a full-time Licensed Orthotic and Prosthetic Specialist with a focus on Cranial Remolding Orthosis for our patient care facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough examinations, interviews, and measurements of patients to assess their needs for orthopedic appliances.
  • Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal fit, function, and comfort.
  • Provide comprehensive instructions to patients regarding the use and maintenance of orthotic and prosthetic devices.
  • Design and create orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on physician prescriptions and patient assessments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with ABC and CMS standards.
  • Prepare and modify plaster casts for the construction of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
  • Select appropriate materials and components for device fabrication based on design specifications.
  • Collaborate with physicians to establish specifications and prescriptions for orthopedic and prosthetic devices.
  • Repair, rebuild, and modify existing prosthetic and orthopedic appliances as needed.
  • Oversee the construction and fabrication of appliances or supervise the work of others in this area.
  • Train and mentor orthopedic and prosthetic assistants and technicians.
  • Enhance professional knowledge and skills by attending relevant conferences and seminars.
  • Demonstrate orthopedic and prosthetic appliances to healthcare professionals.
  • Manage inventory of materials across main and satellite locations.

Qualifications:
  • Current licensure and/or certification in good standing from a recognized governing body (ABC or BOC).
  • Experience in Cranial Remolding is essential.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and compliance with CME requirements as per ABC and BOC guidelines.
  • Ability to work within the defined scope of practice unless otherwise authorized by a supervisor or practitioner of another specialty.
  • Adherence to the employee handbook guidelines of Pacific Medical, Inc.
  • Completion of training in HIPAA compliance, sexual harassment, and universal precautions is mandatory.
  • Additional state-specific licensing may be required to perform job duties.
  • Compliance with ABC facility accreditation standards and active participation in its implementation.
  • Engagement in annual performance reviews with facility support staff.
  • Participation in training sessions and meetings hosted by Pacific Medical is required.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000.
