Position Overview:
The Automotive Service Specialist plays a crucial role in executing vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks as per dealership and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to pinpoint mechanical, electrical, and other vehicle concerns.
2. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and various automotive systems as specified in repair orders.
3. Work efficiently to identify issues and complete repairs within designated timeframes.
4. Collaborate with service advisors and the parts department to effectively prioritize and schedule repairs.
5. Perform comprehensive quality inspections to ensure all repairs meet or exceed industry standards, addressing any additional safety or service requirements as needed.
6. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their vehicle issues and provide clear explanations of recommended repairs.
7. Offer precise cost estimates and timelines for repair work.
8. Accurately document all diagnostic and repair activities.
9. Complete repair orders and maintain thorough records of services performed.
10. Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions to stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and industry trends.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a dealership or similar automotive repair environment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Solid understanding of automotive systems, components, and repair methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work setting.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA and demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug tests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage of $47.00, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and certifications. The Technician Position offers a pay scale ranging from $22 to $47 per hour.
