Job Description

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-process and finished product testing to determine adherence to established specifications of quality and purity. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze data for various purposes, including production, quality control, and minor research.
  • Test and analyze products, such as flour and wheat products, to determine if they meet plant specifications prior to release.
  • Release products within specification and report out-of-specification products.
  • Document results of testing in Total Lab Client (TLC).
  • Complete Certificates of Analyses.
  • Prepare chemical solutions for use in the lab.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and related field instrumentation.
  • Maintain awareness and adhere to all FDA, GMP, EPA, OSHA, and employer standards and guidelines.
  • Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements.

  • Able to understand and comply with plant GMP and personnel practice requirements.
  • Computer skills to utilize lab instrument operation programs.
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge.
  • Demonstrate math skills to perform calculations associated with lab testing.
  • Good attendance, including flexible schedule and ability to coordinate with coworkers.
