Position Overview

The Crisis Response Coordinator plays a vital role within the Emergency Services & Crisis Management team, focusing on individuals facing acute mental health challenges. This position is integral to providing immediate support and intervention for those experiencing severe psychological distress, including those with co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and manage individuals in crisis.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for temporary detention and hospitalization.
  • Deliver critical stress management services to stabilize individuals in high-risk situations.
  • Utilize a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed approach to care.
  • Document clinical assessments and maintain comprehensive records.
  • Provide emergency intervention services to individuals exhibiting suicidal or homicidal behaviors.
  • Respond to urgent calls for assistance, including high-risk scenarios.
  • Engage with community resources to facilitate ongoing support for clients.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling, along with relevant clinical experience. Licensure eligibility in Virginia is required, and proficiency in additional languages is highly valued.
