Austin Industrial, Inc. - We are currently in search of a qualified Safety Compliance Officer to be stationed in a dynamic industrial environment.
This role necessitates a Valid Driver's License and TWIC Card.
This is a temporary assignment lasting approximately 5 to 6 weeks with a demanding schedule of 7x12's - No Per Diem.

Safety Compliance Officer

Key responsibilities include implementing the site safety program for designated projects. This role involves educating and training project personnel on safety protocols and best practices for incident prevention. Ensuring adherence to both company and client safety regulations is paramount. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with client representatives, project teams, and subcontractor safety personnel.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed safety reports and documentation for incident investigations.
  • Support safety training initiatives for staff and development programs for subcontractors.
  • Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner with clients and subcontractors.
  • Design and deliver safety training sessions and orientations tailored to project specifics and timelines.
  • Engage with safety organizations in the region to promote best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's established safety manual, policies, and expectations.
  • Spend the majority of time in the field observing operations, coaching, auditing, and interacting with craft employee-owners.
  • Assist project management in addressing safety concerns and challenges in the field.
  • Provide coverage for the site HSE manager during their absence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for this Position:

Education: No minimum educational requirements.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in safety within a chemical processing environment (Safety technician only).

Certification/License: A Valid Driver's License and TWIC Card are required.
