We are currently seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Millersburg, Oregon. This role involves providing technical and manufacturing process support aimed at identifying and mitigating sources of variation, as well as establishing standards, best practices, and performance metrics on the production floor. Reporting to Operations within the Chemical Operations Division, the Process Engineer will be a skilled problem solver, leading initiatives to ensure product quality aligns with customer expectations and ATI's objectives.

To thrive in this role and make an immediate impact, you will need to quickly familiarize yourself with ATI, the Chemical Operations Division, and various chemical processes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including a unionized workforce, engineering, quality, and safety, will be essential. Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and environmental protection as a core value.
  • Engage in daily reviews of logbooks and alarm histories to stay informed about operational activities; maintain a close relationship with Operators to address issues.
  • Facilitate daily management meetings and lead discussions to resolve safety and operational challenges in real-time.
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimize process performance.
  • Champion the regular analysis of trends and Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.
  • Implement and oversee a system for tracking production losses and waste.
  • Evaluate existing processes, identify opportunities for enhancement, and propose solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Act as the process owner for designated processes, leading escalations to obtain necessary support.
  • Address production, equipment, quality, and safety issues through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation; respond swiftly to emergencies.
  • Provide insights into process requirements for capital and major maintenance projects, ensuring operational readiness for commissioning.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to monitor the quality of incoming raw materials and chemicals, driving improvement initiatives.
  • Supply planning rate inputs to Supply Chain Planners for the S&OP process, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
  • Establish and document standards and best practices for Chemical Operations processes.
  • Assist in the development and revision of work instructions, Quality System documents, material specifications, and SWTE documents.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives assigned to the area.
  • Collaborate with a network of Process Engineers to ensure consistency across operations.
  • Assist in data collection for various assessments, including business case development and consultant evaluations.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
