Project Engineering Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:


The Project Engineering Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering extensive engineering and administrative assistance to Project, Quality, and Process Engineers, as well as Technicians and manufacturing teams involved in documentation for processes and products.

This position requires effective organization, time management, and the ability to fulfill daily operational needs.

Key Duties:
  • Consistent and reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Enhance and refine process control protocols to align with customer expectations.
  • Conduct audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure follow-up on implementation.
  • Oversee ERP project administration, managing tasks, resources, and requisitions to uphold project budgets.
  • Support the maintenance of ERP routers and bills of materials.
  • Assist in the release of materials.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Safety Responsibilities:
Be proactive in maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and practices. Participate in and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing safety standards.

Quality Assurance:
Ensure that standardized procedures are established and followed for all processes, contributing to the production of high-quality products. Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean methodologies.

Productivity and Cost Management:
Establish and maintain optimal conditions to ensure quality throughput in designated areas. Identify problems accurately and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce material, labor, and energy expenses.

Team Collaboration:
Uphold compliance with HR policies and represent the company in technical meetings. Engage in audits as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Education: An associate degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of technical experience in Investment Casting is preferred.

Certifications:
Possession of or eligibility for certification as an auditor per the quality manual is desirable.

Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Word, Windows, and PowerPoint, with experience in ERP systems, particularly Syteline, being advantageous. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and willing to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Work Environment:
The role involves an office setting with engagement on the shop floor. Candidates should be prepared for extended periods of sitting or standing and able to lift up to 20 lbs. Proficiency in using a computer for extended durations is required.

Personal Protective Equipment:
Compliance with PPE requirements in relevant work areas is mandatory, including safety glasses and steel-toe shoes.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday day shift.
