About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Regional Flood Planning Manager to lead our statewide regional flood planning program. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, coordinating with stakeholders, and guiding the development of regional flood plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the agency's Regional Flood Planning Program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines for the RFP Department
  • Coordinate with regional flood planning groups and stakeholders to develop regional flood plans
  • Manage grant contracts, tracking progress and ensuring timely completion of project deliverables
  • Provide technical guidance and support to regional flood planning groups and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Planning, Hydrology, Economics, Geography, Public Policy, or Public Administration
  • Seven years of experience in flood-related planning, mitigation, response, or recovery, land-use planning, water resources planning, infrastructure planning, or flood modeling and mapping
  • Three years of progressively responsible professional work experience managing projects/programs and supervising staff
  • Professional experience in contract management, public stakeholder processes, and/or floodplain management certification

Compensation and Benefits

The TWDB offers a competitive compensation package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible spending, and flexible work hours. The estimated annual salary for this position is around $115,000-$130,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
