Our Environmental Sector offers comprehensive solutions to meet the complete project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil and gas, transportation, and manufacturing. Position Summary:

TRC is looking for an on-call Senior Cultural Resources Specialist within our Planning, Permitting, and Licensing Practice (PPL). This role will involve close collaboration with other environmental and cultural resources professionals to enhance TRC's cultural resource initiatives on the West Coast.

We seek an individual passionate about cultural resource management and historic preservation, with a strong dedication to client service and technical excellence. This position may require travel based on project demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with agencies, clients, and tribal entities.
  • Assist in marketing efforts and proposal development.
  • Oversee large and complex cultural resources projects, including fieldwork and report preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and environmental review processes.
  • Develop and implement project budgets, research designs, work plans, and schedules.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, and public speaking.
  • Foster strong interpersonal and management capabilities.
  • Commit to safety and high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in archaeology or architectural history, particularly in Oregon and surrounding regions.
  • Graduate degree (M.A. or Ph.D.) from an accredited institution in anthropology, archaeology, architectural history, or historic preservation.
  • Meet the qualifications for a 'qualified archaeologist' in Oregon.
  • Previous experience with federal and state land projects.
  • Demonstrated success in client retention and marketing.
  • Technical expertise in lithic analysis, ceramic analysis, or underwater archaeology.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
