Position Overview

The Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations is responsible for identifying opportunities for enhancing efficiency, productivity, and quality within the organization. This role entails overseeing the development and execution of process improvements that align with the strategic objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Specific duties include:

  • Overseeing initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
  • Identifying key performance metrics and collecting relevant data to monitor progress towards established goals.
  • Conducting thorough root cause analyses to uncover inefficiencies or weaknesses.
  • Educating staff on process improvement initiatives and the subsequent changes to processes.
  • Leading the analysis and evaluation of current processes and systems to assess their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Managing data collection and root cause analysis to identify issues, developing and recommending solutions based on the evolving needs of the business.
  • Directing the implementation and testing of process changes, evaluating their impact to ensure measurable improvements.
  • Creating and delivering training programs or presentations to communicate process updates to the organization.
  • Formulating and executing overarching operational strategies focused on maximizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Applying Six Sigma methodologies to enhance organizational processes.
  • Holding full authority over all Six Sigma business process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to direct the work of others.
  • Experience in aligning departmental strategies with the overall organizational goals.
  • Ability to develop impactful policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of concepts and principles related to one or more relevant fields.
  • Strong decision-making, planning, and strategic direction skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to handle complex issues with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Expert knowledge in relevant subject matter.
  • Experience in providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to teams.
  • Certification as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt is preferred.
  • A master's degree may be advantageous.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to climb stairs and remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Capability to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.

Physical Demands:

Light work, including the ability to adjust and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
