KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Set clear objectives for each area within the Donated Goods division, including retail stores and donation facilities.
2. Ensure sufficient staffing at all locations to meet customer demands effectively.
3. Conduct performance evaluations for all personnel on a regular basis.
4. Monitor financial performance to guarantee adherence to budgetary constraints.
5. Establish pricing standards for merchandise.
6. Conduct site visits to retail and donation centers as necessary.
7. Ensure compliance with safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
8. Act as a key member of the executive team, fostering interdepartmental communication.
9. Collaborate with marketing to enhance public engagement with Goodwill's retail operations.
10. Implement sustainability initiatives to optimize donor contributions and reduce waste.
11. Identify and address training needs and professional development opportunities for team members.
12. Perform additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill the essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A comprehensive understanding of fields such as finance, marketing, and business management is essential. A bachelor's degree combined with 9 to 10 years of relevant experience, including 8 years in a managerial capacity, is preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance are required prior to employment, along with a clean driving record.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role involves overseeing multiple departments through several directors and managers, who collectively supervise a large workforce engaged in various activities.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Experience in a multi-store retail environment is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. The position may involve frequent travel within the state, including occasional overnight trips. Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills are essential.
