Position Summary
The Project Engineer will assist in overseeing construction and field execution tasks for various projects, employing fundamental construction principles and adhering to the best practices established by the company.

Key Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will be involved in numerous aspects of the construction process, including:

  • Engaging in safety and quality initiatives to foster an injury-free workplace.
  • Assisting in quality assurance and quality control planning for assigned duties.
  • Participating in the estimating and change management processes, including quantity take-offs and evaluation of subcontractor bids.
  • Collaborating with the project team on-site to monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage.
  • Contributing to tasks such as punch lists, inspections, and documentation preparation.
  • Updating and managing project drawings and specifications.
  • Organizing and attending project meetings, ensuring proper documentation is shared.
  • Preparing various reports to track project progress and support the overall scheduling process.
  • Conducting job site observations alongside project leadership.
  • Creating procurement logs aligned with project timelines and specifications.
  • Providing regular updates to the project team to assist in scheduling.
  • Supporting project closeout activities, including punch lists and as-built documentation.
  • Utilizing company standards for construction techniques and best practices.
  • Building effective relationships with team members and subcontractors.
  • Understanding the various roles within the company and their contributions to project success.
  • Fostering teamwork and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Incorporating Lean practices into daily activities.
  • Identifying and integrating self-perform opportunities into the project workflow.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A solid understanding of construction technology and processes.
  • The ability to assess and enhance project productivity.
  • Experience in lifting up to 50 pounds and willingness to work in varying conditions.
