Project Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager to lead construction projects from start to finish. As a key member of the Granite Construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including estimators, project controls, and construction managers, to ensure project success.
- Lead estimating efforts to ensure accurate and consistent bid-to-build processes.
- Coordinate with project teams to manage resources, meet project schedules, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Participate in bid review and closing to ensure accuracy and evaluate project feasibility.
- Develop comprehensive plans for project start-up and successful kick-off.
- Provide a dynamic project environment where communication occurs between project engineers, foremen, superintendents, and construction managers to ensure efficient, profitable, and safe work.
- Ensure proper job controls, including quantities, costs, revenue, and schedule.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, inspectors, and other stakeholders to develop long-term partnerships.
- Ensure accurate construction reports for the job, allowing for continuous improvement in performance.
- Run projects at profitability levels to meet or exceed expected margins.
- Comply with, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
- Five to ten years of progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
- Minimum of five years of experience in paving, dirt, and grading in private or public environments.
- Knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete, and grading practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.
- Maintain ability to work in high production environments.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Excellent supervisory communication and organizational skills.
- Accuracy at all times.

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
