Overview:
As a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will deliver essential services aimed at identifying, preventing, and rehabilitating both acute and chronic physical impairments or discomfort.
Your role involves evaluating and analyzing patients, applying therapeutic techniques, utilizing physical and chemical modalities, and instructing patients and their families to enhance functional independence.
You will be responsible for treating a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors, across various settings such as inpatient, outpatient, and pediatric care.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments, demonstrating precision and expertise in evaluations.
Develop and implement tailored physical therapy treatment plans, employing suitable interventions, techniques, and equipment as dictated by your area of specialization.
Facilitate education and training for patients and their families.
Engage in peer review processes and contribute to performance enhancement initiatives.
Ensure documentation adheres to departmental standards.
Initiate and manage discharge planning for patients.
Professional Development:
Commit to 20 hours of continuing education annually and provide two hours of in-service training to colleagues each year.
Offer comprehensive clinical mentorship to students.
Assist in orienting, instructing, guiding, and assessing support staff.
Adhere to all compliance obligations associated with the role.
Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
Essential Qualifications:
Experience in treating patients with neurological disorders is mandatory.
Minimum Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree along with at least one year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Functional Independence Measurement (FIM) within inpatient rehabilitation environments. CPR certification is also desirable.

Requires significant manual dexterity and coordination.

Involves considerable occupational risks.
Physical Demands:
Involves very heavy physical effort, potentially requiring the exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force.
