Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough physical therapy assessments for patients with intricate medical conditions.
  2. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing specialized interventions and equipment as per your area of expertise.
  3. Educate patients and their families, ensuring they understand the therapeutic processes and home care techniques.
  4. Engage in peer evaluations and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing performance and quality of care.
  5. Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
  6. Initiate and manage discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients.
  7. Commit to ongoing professional development by completing 20 hours of continuing education annually or pursuing an advanced degree, along with providing educational sessions for staff.
  8. Offer mentorship to junior staff and assist in their professional growth.
  9. Support annual competency assessments and training for staff members.
  10. Assist in patient scheduling and help maintain optimal staffing levels.
  11. Provide leadership coverage in the absence of supervisory personnel as needed.
  12. Adhere to all compliance protocols relevant to your role.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.

Experience:

Required: Minimum of three years of experience working with patients with neurological disorders.

Preferred: Specialty certification and progress towards an advanced degree, along with Functional Independent Measurement (FIM) certification and CPR certification.

Working Conditions:

Manual dexterity and significant motor coordination are essential, with the ability to exert considerable physical effort, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Exposure to various environmental factors may occur.

Credentials: Licensed Physical Therapist (PT).

This position is exempt and offers a competitive hourly wage.
