Job Responsibilities

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is looking for a skilled Human Resources professional to act as the expert in the complete recruitment process for Psychiatrist and Psychologist roles within the DBHDS healthcare network. This role aims to streamline competition and foster collaboration among the twelve (12) DBHDS-operated state psychiatric facilities and other essential stakeholders.

This position will be responsible for training recruitment personnel at various facilities on effective practices and will analyze recruitment metrics to ensure adherence to these practices. Additionally, this role will work closely with the DBHDS Workforce Development team to create a talent pipeline by focusing on innovative strategies and developing databases of licensed providers.

Moreover, this position will also function as the expert in benefits administration, providing training to benefits administrators across the twelve facilities and the DBHDS Central Office. This is a restricted position funded by a federal grant.

Essential Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of the recruitment cycle and current tools for attracting clinical staff to DBHDS.
• Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment, with preference given to candidates with clinical recruitment experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the Commonwealth of Virginia's benefits administration plans, including insurance, VSDP, VRS, Workers Comp, and other benefits.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize conflicting job demands while working independently to meet objectives.
• Experience working with a diverse candidate pool and collaborating with HR personnel, department heads, and facility directors throughout the DBHDS system.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Additional Considerations

• Familiarity with the Commonwealth of Virginia RMS system PageUp.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
• SHRM or PHR Certification(s).
