Job Overview:

The TEXAS MEDICAL BOARD is seeking a dedicated individual to provide essential administrative and technical support within the Investigations Department. This role encompasses the dissemination of information, data entry, and the maintenance of filing systems, alongside various internal administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Generate, mail, and electronically file correspondence related to jurisdictional complaints, including routine status updates and subpoenas.
  2. Assist in tracking and managing vouchers and payments for expert panelists, ensuring accurate information is maintained.
  3. Serve as the primary backup for processing incoming mail for the investigations department.
  4. Support the processing of new complaints and the preparation of subpoenas.
  5. Perform additional duties as assigned, including file quality control.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those who have completed coursework at an accredited institution. A minimum of twelve months of experience in office practices and administrative support is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and scanning devices is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in office practices and administrative procedures.
  • Ability to effectively use standard office equipment and software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Work Environment:

This position allows for telecommuting up to one to two days per week, following training and approval. The role requires regular attendance during standard office hours and involves frequent use of personal computers and office equipment.
